What Dillon is learning this year....

Dillon is also doing some critical thinking language arts and some critical thinking math pages weekly as well. It isn't required for school, but we are doing the pages nonetheless.

Dillon's Science book for the year. It also has activity pages filled with activities to do as well.

The top two books are the Story of the World. It takes the kids through history starting in Ancient times through modern time. We started this book last year, and it will take about 4 years to finish the 4 volumes. There is also an accompanying activity book that allows the kids to do a few coloring pages with each chapter, and some map work associated with the story. They also summarize the chapter as well.

These two spelling books will be done this year. The first one will be done the first half of the year, and the second book will be done by the end of the school year.

Dillon is doing handwriting again this year. If he improves his handwriting enough, he won't have to do it the second half of the year.

Our grammar book for the year.

These 3 books will be completed by the end of the year as well. It is our Explode the Code series that teaches phonics, and reading.

The kids favorite by far. It is the draw then write series. The kids learn how to draw something, and then have to write about it- making up stories while learning what is needed in a paragraph.

These are Dillon's reading books for the year. There are 6 to read this year, with accompanying reading practice workbooks too.

Dillon is also taking Golf lessons every week, and we are incorporating music and art into their weekly school work.
