Bird nest update

Well, with no activity at the birds nest this last week, we were getting a little worried. No longer did the mama bird fly from the nest with haste when we opened the door to go outside, or when we would come home and walk up to the door to go inside. We hadn't seen any eggs on the floor, nor did we hear any baby birds. So we hiked up on a step ladder to see the nest. I took some pictures , and found no eggs, and no birds. So, either the birds hatched, and flew away.....but where are the eggs. Or maybe mice or another bird helped himself to the eggs. Who knows. We were a little bummed though, we were hoping for some baby bird pics. Maybe next year.
