1 can Eagle Brand milk
1 large can crushed pineapple (drained)
1 can cherry pie filling
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
Mix all ingredients together thoroughly and freeze.
There are a couple of ways to dress this dish up for Valentine’s Day:
(1) You can freeze it in a large heart shaped dish. (Be sure to cover with saran wrap before freezing.)
(2) Or you could spoon the mix into individual chocolate crust pies, refrigerate and serve soft and top with a heart-shaped piece of chocolate.
(3)Or spoon the mix into cupcake papers for Valentine’s Day, set in cupcake pans, cover with saran wrap and freeze.
(4) Lastly, you could spoon the mix into a loaf pan that has been covered inside with saran wrap to make lifting out of the pan easier.
Another variation to the above recipe is........
Ingredients
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 carton (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
2 cans (11 ounces each) mandarin oranges, drained
Maraschino cherries and orange wedges, optional
Directions
In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese and whipped topping. Stir in pie filling. Set aside 1/4 cup oranges for garnish. Fold remaining oranges into cream cheese mixture.
Transfer to a 9-in. x 5-in. loaf pan. Cover and freeze overnight. Remove from the freezer 15 minutes before cutting. Garnish with the reserved mandarin oranges, cherries and oranges if desired.
