Lesson for the day....snakes!

(I found this image online)
We were all out on a drive this nice afternoon on the golf cart, and at the end of our excursion came across a dead snake in the street. We originally thought it was a rattlesnake, but on further investigation when we backed up, we saw no rattle. So, you know me and Google, so when we got home we identified it- from memory of course. It is a California gopher snake. Harmless to humans thank goodness!

Too bad it's dead: gophers are such a nuisance!

Yeah, a car got it when it tried crossing the street. And the next day it was still there, just less of him, and also a dead black bird. I guess he got the front end of a car too!
