The kids learned about horses today, and got to ride one too!

We went out in the neighborhood today in the golf cart. We went to the playground first and then through the neighborhood. At last we ended up at the equestrian center to pet some horses. There was a lady there, and she let the kids pet her horse, and feed him "Iko" treats. Even Hunter gave the horse a treat. She showed them how she cleans his hooves and they asked really good questions on how to keep the flies off, and how to groom them too. After all of that, she let them take a ride in the pen. So they each went around 2 times. This was Justin's second time on a horse, and Dillon's first. They did great. Hunter then followed- he practically ran into the pen to get on! He did great too. He went around 1 time, and then lost his balance and grip on the hair, and got a little nervous. He didn't want to continue the ride, nor did he want to smile for the after ride picture. Next time, I'll get a picture when we start out, and he is beaming! The pictures were with my camera phone, I didn't take the camera with us. Who knew we would need it!? The kids really had a lot of fun!
