What we did this week

Well, we finally took down the Christmas tree, and decorations this week. It is the end of January- I thought to myself. Now the house looks so bare and bland. So we need to spruce it up a little. That will be our next project.
The kids did great with school this week, and so we had a lot of time for review, and educational games too. They even finished a little early, and were able to paint their wooden car parts. We will glue them together this next week.
I found another Charter School in San Diego that runs the same way, but has excellent curriculum. Far better than what we use in at least 3 subject areas. I made an appointment with them for next week, and we are going to switch the kids. It is still a K-12 school, and they are a "San Diego School", so they get their high school diploma as well when they graduate, as compared to some schools where you have to sit for your GED test. They also have the field trips too. So it looks like a great match.

Well, hopefully you all are drying out as we are after 5 days and nights of rain. Have a good weekend!

we have our kids out here at a charter school, and let me tell you....BIG difference than the regular school district! It's called Stepping Stones Academy. Look it up if you want! They give the kids jobs that they attend every day, and they make fake money, write checks...the kids love that part! Chow! Noelle
