Well, it's official. School starts on September 8th. We are all excited to get the year off to a good start. Justin will be in 1st grade, and Dillon will be in kindergarten. We will be using the Charter School called The Learning Choice Academy. It is considered a San Diego unified school district school. We will get the free books and curriculum, and the assistance of the educational professional. But we do the teaching at home. We check in monthly with the educational professional "teacher" with a quick meeting- turning in the selected assignments to check that we are on track. There are monthly field trips, assemblies, and once a week full day Core and Adventure Day classes that the kids will attend. This fall the classes that they will be attending are: Astronomy, Art History to Modern Age, Music Exploration, and Spanish from 9am - 2:30pm. This is extra enrichment classes that they do in addition to their studies. The boys are looking forward to those classes, and meeting new friends.
School pictures are on September 14th, plus there is a huge back to school get together that sounds like it will be a blast- on September 21st. So stay tuned!!!
